Planning Internships
While winter is just giving way to spring, it’s not too early to start thinking about summer. If you’re an undergrad or graduate student, what better way to spend the summer than with a paid internship?

Montgomery County’s Planning Department offers fun and insightful internships with opportunities for GIS analysis of public sites, transit station property analysis, master plan community outreach, and more! Interviews for internships occur in mid-April; candidates will be announced in mid-May.
Interns work full-time (37.5 hours) with Montgomery County Department of Planning staff in downtown, metro-accessible Silver Spring offices.
Our internships are most appropriate if you’re majoring in regional or community planning; architecture, landscape architecture or urban design; urban studies or geography; environmental planning or science; historic preservation; geographic information services; journalism; public relations or communications; or human resources.
