Art Shows at Brookside Gardens

Art is Part of Our Mission

Brookside Gardens supports and promotes all the arts with show opportunities and by working with individual artists, groups of artists, and public sector agencies including the Montgomery County Arts Council and the Public Arts Trust.

Art and Photography Exhibits in the Visitors Center

Visitor Center Art & Photo Exhibit Application*
Open daily 9:00am to 5:00pm. Closed Christmas Day and selected holidays.

The Brookside Gardens Visitor Center at 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland 20902, includes four gallery areas: the atrium, lobby, education hall, and library. Exhibits of 8 to 60 works run all year long in all areas for both individuals and groups of artists and feature paintings, photographs, fabric arts, and any other hangable art, with a theme of plants. These shows are visited by up to 30,000 visitors per month. Sales are conducted by the Visitor Center Gift Shop. Artists have included everything from the second grade of Glenallan Elementary School to the world famous aubusson tapestry artist, Dirk Holgar. Application forms are accepted anytime.
